Day 29 Geneva and a small world.

Thank you Dave, Linda, Molly and Freddie et al for being such good friends and hosts since the 30th December. We will miss you. Please keep in touch.

Today we left Dave and Linda's at 8.15 to get to Liverpool airport at a reasonable time. We got there without a problem as the sat nav on the phone was outstanding thanks google maps. I had our remaining pounds and realized that I had unloaded the car and returned it to the rental company so poor anna had to carry 2 big cases a snowboard bag and 2 carryons.  (But fortunately I was up to the job!!)

There was a gigantic queue at the security check in Liverpool but we made it in plenty of time.

Geneva airport on a saturday is chaos. It took one hour from when we landed to get my snowboard bag.

I went to find the courier and there was EILIAN JONES on a whiteboard. The drivers name was Sam a great young Aussie guy. We were the only pickup so that was great. Cody made friends with him and the poor guy had to field questions all the way.  Im sure thats just what he wanted when he had only been in the country for 3 weeks himself & had never been to the village we were staying in.

Tricks for young players when you get to Geneva you need a 2 euro or 2 Swiss franc coin to get a trolley we had neither so had to carry it!!

grammar people you will not believe who I saw at the airport as we were moving outside.
Nick Edwards He said " where are you going" I said Samoens he said I live there!  He is going to track me down. He said there is an Irish Bar!!!!

When we got to samoens it was raining but there was snow!!

We arrived at La Reine des pres our apartment. It is excellent. After we unpacked we went into the village and got the kids togged up with skis, boots,  poles and helmet.

Monopoly deal unfinished.

The kitchen
the kids bathroom
Kids room destroyed after 5 minutes

ours

Then we went shopping for food and bought delicious pizza from a cart in the square!! All great. Smoked salmon, margarita and chorizo.

We ate and crashed. Tomorrow is the first day of snow based activity my new board is ready to go can't wait.
